Looking for a used combine and there is an A85 with 4400 engine hours and 3200 threshing hours I've been looking at and now I found a 9540 with 3750 engine and 2900 threshing hours.
I've heard the 9540 is way better on fuel and possibly more reliable, also has options for aftermarket concaves unlike 9895. I have heard they can be hard to set in wheat though, is this true? The 9540 is $35000 more than the A85 ..read more

just working on a 4840 with a bad clutch so Im gonna be taking the tranny out. Ive been reading a lot about the updates 3x one piece snap ring on the bottom shaft and a retainer for the low clutch pack if im right?
I was hopeing somebody could clarify that a littel. Are those special snap rings that can be orderd somewhere? Ive read the low clutch retainer can be made from a machineshop if somebody has a picture or some infos how that looks like or where it can be sourced would be nice...
