This my oldest cow, she was bought as a 500 lb heifer in a group of heifers at a Hereford influence sale, atleast 12 years ago. She has been a consistent breeder and one of the first every year to calve until last year she lost a little time and calves in March or April. Then did not get bred back very early last year so she may be a fall calver. She came in a group of crossbred heifers with at least one braford type in the group. Wife and and I were given a gift card to a fancy restaurant, by some very generous guests at our BnB. We made reservations for today. Wife got an appetizer, salad, cheeseburger, baked potato and dessert. I got an 8oz filet mignon, with salad and baked potato. It was advertised as prime beef, and was real good. Mine was the second least expensive steak on the menu at $49.99. The most expensive steak was a such and such Wagyu ribeye 16oz at $115.99. I ordered mine medium rare, and it was... Not sure who gets these nasty plants but I has a mess of them. I have tried double strength 24d, Sahara, and round up. They will all kill the plant I spray but within a couple weeks another pops up a foot from the original plant. Anyone have any ideas? Someone on here told me to dig to the root and put a coffee can over it. I wouldn't drink that much coffee in a lifetime. Any real ideas ..read more

Gaffers tape on cowboy boots
CattleToday

Hello, why would a cowboy wrap silver gaffers tape wrapped around his broken down cowboy boots at the toe and instep. It's from a book. Is it a common thing to wrap boots with gaffers tape? How and where would someone wrap it? Around the sole or just the top? Also, the book says he walks as if he is rarely off a horse, what does that mean? What sort of a walk is it? Any help would be appreciated. I am an actor playing a cowboy. Thanks ..read more
