I've been trying to upload some PSTs to import into MS 365 via azcopy. At some point the upload always falls over; the final error is a permissions error but I think that's just a symptom of it having lost connection. A recent major power outage - well actually a few in rapid succession - has caused some problems with the server, hence doing it manually and aiming to get it mograted over as quickly as possible.
I am just attempting a couple of mailboxes at the moment but it seems increasingly unlikely that they are going to upload successfully any time soon, so I was going to attempt individua ..read more

Sending email account user1@university.edu
Receiving email user2@subdomain.university.edu (It's a subdomain of the university.edu). It's a partner business that no longer belongs to the University though they still own the subdomain. My company now owns the business itself.
University.edu is in M365 and DNS is managed by the university itself, I am assuming. They host their own DNS as far as I know. Looked it up that's what it shows as well.
Subdomain.university.edu is also in M365 and we manage the account information in our M365 Tenant, but we only added this domain to our M365 tenant, the ..read more

Hello,
We are using Microsoft Office 365 with journaling to Mimecast Archive and there is a setting in Microsoft 365 for undeliverable journal reports, which asks for an alternative email address to send to when a journaled email fails to be delivered. The purpose of this alternative email address is that you can retry sending the journal email manually e.g. if your archive service went offline.
Microsoft says that it's not supported to use a 365 mailbox as the target for undeliverable journaling. However, upon reading their documentation the reason is that a 365 mailbox has a 3,600 message pe ..read more

Hi, my organization uses software called Genesys which is a type of ticketing system for our customer support agents.
When people go to our website, there is a contact us page there. When this is filled out it sends an email via SMTP internally then a forwarding rule sends it to Genesys, creating a ticket for the agent.
The email flows like this:
Contact us page > submit query > Sends email to contactus@mydomain.com > forwarding rule sends email to contactus@mydomain.genesys.com.
We are an Exchange/O365 hybrid environment.
I'm working on a project where they want to allow attachments ..read more

I have a single user that is having an issue with accessing a shared notebook. She receives the email that she can now view the document, but when she clicks on the link it says she doesn't have permissions and needs to request access. She has requested access to the file many times, but still same issue. Anyone else who she shares the file with can open it.
I looked in sharepoint admin, and shows where she has requested access, and been granted access to the file about 15 times, with no luck.
So here is what I tried:
1. removed all shared access, then re-added the user in question, still no l ..read more

When attempting to login to activate the subscription, invariably we get the message "Sorry we are having temporary server issues" Any ideas? Had a successful resolution?
Various methods have been attempted to resolve…
Download and run SaRA for Office and Outlook issues.
Delete Windows profile and recreate.
Sign the user out of the app, reattempt signin. Remove/reinstall Office
Rename Office in HKCU to .old, rename %localappdata% to .old
RunDll32.exe InetCpl.cpl,ResetIEtoDefaults

Continuing our move to M365/SharePoint/Teams, I'm in the process of setting up departmental Teams to mimic our on-prem file shares (like Finance, Marketing, Operations, etc. etc.). Some of these teams, like Finance, were going to be labeled with a sensitivity label to make the group private, lockdown external sharing, etc. I was also planning to have the department head be the default owner each team.
However, it seems that owners can pretty do much what they want with the resources they own (which I guess makes sense). This includes removing a sensitivity label of their group or changing it t ..read more
