Feel free to quote me if I'm wrong (I usually am!)... but the team we played back in '94 in the FA Cup was 'Enfield FC'... the team facing Chatham in the play-offs is 'Enfield Town FC' who I think were formed in the early 2000s by supporters who were fed up with the owner of 'Enfield FC' So, by my reckoning, we've never played either of the two aforementioned clubs. Correct. Enfield FC who we played in 1994 still exist and play in the Isthmian League division North although nowadays they ground share with Bishops Stortford ..read more

Exactly, no manager and coaching staff would want anyone in there doing the team talk for them. What I will see however, if Neil Warnock was happy to do some consultancy work for the club, you'd have the mind of a mad man not to want that ..read more

I'd have him around even if it was just to go the dressing room before the game to leave the players in no doubt what is required over the 90 minutes. You're living in cloud cuckoo land if you think that would do anything, that's the job of the manager and captain, you wouldn't want a 3rd party doing that, the manager would be totally undermined and it wouldn't work ..read more

If the winners of AFC Totton vs Salisbury on Monday are AFC Totton we might well see the return of Scott Rendell to Plainmoor, also Tony Lee could be facing the mighty yellows. Now where have I heard his name suggested before ..read more

Really mean this in the nicest possible way, but what's this fixation of Neil Warnock?, he was a caretaker manager for a handful of games over 30years ago now, we need a clean slate, no going back to the future, Neil deserves to put his feet up, get on a sun lounger and enjoy his retirement, not at Plainmoor in any working role Neil Warnock has managed far bigger clubs and had a huge amount of success. I like his no-nonsense attitude and having someone overviewing what we are doing would surely be a good thing. I think some kind of consultancy role closeby to where he lives would suit him a ..read more

Warnock is not everyone’s cup of tea – unless you like your brew with a hint of acid. He divides opinion. Nonetheless, I do not wish to see us once again circling the plughole to Southern League football and would gladly have a man who has managed over 1,700 games across four decades in an advisory role to launch our new golden era ..read more

Winner of Chatham v Enfield play off will be in NLS next season. I don’t think we’ve ever played Chatham but recall going to Enfield for an FA Cup match when we were 4th division and they were a good non league team. Feel free to quote me if I'm wrong (I usually am!)... but the team we played back in '94 in the FA Cup was 'Enfield FC'... the team facing Chatham in the play-offs is 'Enfield Town FC' who I think were formed in the early 2000s by supporters who were fed up with the owner of 'Enfield FC' So, by my reckoning, we've never played either of the two aforementioned clubs ..read more
