About 6 weeks ago I decided to pursue a new Z06. Given the typical long wait times, especially at MSRP, I tried a strategy that really paid off. Specifically, I used the C8 Tracker web site to identify the top 75 dealers by 2023 Z06 authorizations. Then I called all of them and got on lists of all that were still adding to their list, except those who required a deposit. Hello MECF members, Hope you are having a wonderful Friday. I have planned a Route 66 road trip from Chicago to LA. Since I am from NY, I will be additionally driving from NY to Chicago. Trip is 3 weeks duration in early Summer. Since I will be in LA, I also decided to drive on Pacific Coast Highway up North from LA to San Francisco. Just after I passed 60000 miles and was beyond my drivetrain warranty, my check engine light went off. I immediately took it to my dealer and they found an issue with a valve in the transmission. I left it with them and they swapped out the transmission valve body, which is a fairly large and intricate device. They put in a new design and had to give me a different transmission housing to cover it. All of this was free even though I was past the drive train warranty, apparently the transmission, or at least the valve body is warranted to 70000 miles ..read more

Since I don't highway street race, roll racing at the track is the way to go! My eRay is BONE STOCK and I've said it before and I'll say it again, this generation of Corvettes(Z06 and eRay) are supercars! But at the end of the day it's all talk till you show up at the track. There's an old saying that goes, "those who **** around, tend to always find out". Well I decided to mess around and roll race a $600k +740 HP Tuned Lamborghini Aventador SV, 600+ WHP FBO R35 GTR, and a Ferrari 488 Pista; and boy did I FIND OUT...enjoy the video ..read more

The Chevrolet First Maintenance Visit for the Corvette currently includes an oil and filter change, external canister transmission filter change, and a fluid top off. Based on dealer and customer feedback, replacement of the transmission filter can be replaced and claimed independently for 2024 and future model year Corvettes effective with job cards dated on/after April 25, 2024. Investigate Vehicle History (IVH) will be updated for all 2024 Corvettes to identify the “First Ext.
