Hello Digital Corvettes!
I am Joseph from LA, and I have just procured myself my dream first car. It is a 1982 Corvette Collector Edition. I have owned it for about a month and a half now, and I'm loving it so far. Despite her rough looks, she's got only 22,xxx miles on the odometer. She runs very well, just a lot of little things though; the parking brake shoes are dragging inside the driver side rear wheel, missing door cards, has incorrect seat covers, power antenna doesn't work, power...

Hello, my name is Patrick McCaherty. I am from central Illinois. I am a union operator by trade but I grew up in my fathers body shop. I have been a part of some really fun and interesting builds. I currently help my father from time to time but most of my car time is wasted at my own shop McCaherty Automotive. The rest of my car time is spent at my uncle’s shop helping him with cars that he road races. (NASA/IMSA) my specialty is body work but wiring is where I help most people. I have only...

I have tried several approaches to reducing over heating:
1.Super wet additive it lowered the temp slightly, because of the antifreeze in the vehicle.
2. Purchased and installed a new aluminum radiator.
3. Installed a new temp driven fan switch 205 t0 210 degrees.
4.Mechanic installed side boards for the radiator area, I don't know if this was a good idea. higher temperatures
occurred after this was done.
5.Installed air dam helped initially.
6.Discovered plastic bags in radiator...

Hi all, in a couple of years my oldest is off to college, the minivan gets sold, the wife gets my current ride and I get to buy a sports car. I've always liked Corvettes but assumed they weren't great as a daily car. But I've watched Chevy improve the Vette over the years, and checked out a buddy's new C6 and I'm quite impressed. I like the idea of a car with a lot of low-end vs. a foreign buzz bomb. So I have my heart set on a Vette coupe and probably will buy a used c06 (3 kids to put thru...

I have a 1990 coupe auto transmission. I bought to make a kart, wife wanted it restored. Had a problem with the vats. Got the correct resistor. Now security light flashes with key out and key in but engine off. Won’t start. Now I will say that I have door handles out, therefore having wire off key tumblers. Have car basically stripped. Changing dash pad so gauge cluster was out. Info cluster was out. Interior is completely out of it. I was wanting to drive onto the trailer to take to paint...

INTRO-This is my first time modifying and building an American car, I previously have built older Japanese vehicles and some older American cars. Not looking for any condescending hate or misinformation, looking to get pointed in the right way to save myself any avoidable trouble by some people that may have gone down the path I’m going about, if you’re reading this , thanks I appreciate it, if you have any pointers I’d appreciate that as well.

wow last time I was here I built my DIY wide body C4 corvette
I just picked up a C5 vette and love it. it is a 1998 manual with 45k miles on it.. super clean. it currently has callaway CAI, hooker long tube headers, no cats and hooker full exhaust. oh and a really nice short throw shifter.
My question is does anyone have a build recipe to get to 400hp? i'm reading tons of them and everyone throws in opinions on others and leaves me wanting to just hear a "do this, this and this and you...
