L3700 starting problem

L3700SU. Repairing road after 5” rain yesterday. Shut down to fuel and no restart, acting like dead battery. Ran jumper cables and no go, showing 14volts. Lights work and glow plugs work but turn key to start, a couple of labored revolutions and click. I have the service manual and will consult tonight. Direct power to dismounted starter motor to check? I’ll in the NE Caribbean and it looks like our storm season comes early this year. I have 3/4 mile of steep dirt to my house with... I have a BX1870 with a 54” deck. I found a used GCK60-23BX BAGGER WITH A 60” boot kit. I did a little adaptation and made the boot and the orange wedge that goes under the front right of the deck work. Admittedly I never follow the rule of only cutting a third of the grass height. I’m now experiencing some clogging issues in the boot. Anyone have any ideas…or does anyone have a 54” boot kit that wants to trade for a 60”. To buy a new 54” boot kit is ! Thanks ..read more

B7510 Tire Pressure

Well, with all the issues I have with my B7510 tearing up my lawn, I am trying everything before tossing my arms up in disgust and trading it on a BX2350. What tire pressure should I use on the front (and rear for that matter) tires while mowing? I keep them aired up when using the loader. Could that be a problem? As suggested by a fellow TBN'er on my other thread, I intend on checking the front-end alignment, too, but in 200 hours I've seen no tire wear indicating a problem there ..read more

BL4690A Backhoe Boom Cylinder/Hydraulic Hose Change

Hi, I have been using my backhoe a lot this summer. Digging and moving between 3 & 400 cubic yards of earth. Over the years I have had several hose failures. This summer I had one for the dipper cylinder fail. No big deal, but it caused me to dread the possibility of having to replace a hose to the boom cylinder, which is inside the boom. Well, as luck would have it, I blew a hole in one of the boom cylinder hoses. I can not complain as the backhoe is over 15 years old. An internet... Read more ..read more

BX25 front axle clunking sound

Have a BX25 with 500 hrs. I get a clunking sound from the front axle. Hard to say if it's from from changing directions or turning or a combo of the two. Fluid seems to be full in the axle. Or could it have to do with the 4WD? Just thought of that and not sure I've taken it out of 4WD to see if that changes anything ..read more

Kubota rtv x1140 issue while going down hills

Hi- just picked up a 2018 Kubota rtv x1140; appears in great condition and with under 800 hours. Runs perfectly except when going down a hill: as soon as it picks up enough speed that it’s rolling more from gravity than from the hydrostatic transmission, it seems like a governor kicks in and it loses all power (will still rev, and engine sounds fine, but as though it’s in neutral) until it’s slowed almost down to a stop. Then works fine again. Happens even on very moderate downgrades and... Read more ..read more

Advice on after sales FEL for an old BX2200 D (pre-2000 maybe)

Evening, Thinking about adding a FEL to my old BX2200D - I don't know the year, but its been around the block a bit. Only really gets used for towing a trailer of logs or cutting grass with a 60" deck. I want to be able to do more with it....ideally hedge cutting or adding a FEL. It seems the three point connection is limited though? Any suggestions ..read more

Old BX2200 D starter problems

First post - So fingers crossed! I've an old Kubota BX2200 D - Its always been a little temperamental starting. Takes a good few go's before things turn over. I serviced last year cleaned starter motor & new battery. Everything seemed peachy and motor would start almost immediately. This year all good - until suddenly it wont start. Varies from 1) all dash lights come on ignition, glow plug warming....clicking...but no start. 2) ignition lights, but no glow light and no clicking from... Read more ..read more

BX Series D722 Engine Cylinder Head O-ring?
TractorByNet » Kubota Owning/Operating

Did a search and didnt really see anything specific to help me. Background - I have a 2006 BX1850 that has been overheating/puking coolant etc...Did the usual troubleshooting and ran a coolant test that indicated combustion gases we present in engine coolant. That made me think cylinder head gasket. So that leads me to my question, my kubota WSM states there is an O-ring that goes around the alignment pin along with the cylinder head gasket, but I did not see one when I removed it but I...
