I have a yellow bellied slider, male, he is 17 years old. He did have a wife but unfortunately she passed with egg binding some years ago. As we both lost our women at the same time we then formed a bromance. Hi a couple of weeks ago I rescued a razorback musk in squalid conditions and tried to give it to the RSPCA but they were at capacity and couldn't take it so I'm trying to do my best for him. I now have a 245l tank which I'm setting up for him and I'm trying to build ramps and a basking area for him out of egg crate and coconut matte. Just got home from holiday today (sunday) & found that our Hermans tortoise was attacked by a badger previous night, fortunately our son who was at home heard a commotion in the garden & investigated, He scared the badger off (fortunately a small one) & rescued the tortoise. He was lucky not to be severly mauled but appears to have a puncture wound through his foot where the badger was trying to open him up. Son applied first aid & sprayed with antiseptic. Hi everyone, I have a 15 year old musk turtle, and right up until 4 weeks ago, she was a frequent basker. Then I made some changes to her tank and she stopped! As of this past weekend, she still had not returned to her normal basking routine. So I put her tank back the way it was before I made those changes 4 weeks ago. Still no sign of her basking. Hi all, My name is Terry and I have a one year old horsefield tortoise. He's coming out of brumation and becoming more active. I've been bathing him twice a week, bathed his eyes for 30min yesterday and today. He won't open his eyes, he looks like he's trying to so he's eye lids must be stuck.
