Correct. They will be classed as a 'modification' and because of the front crumple zones impact system, so these may interfere with that operation and cause injury or become lethal in an accident. Your insurance company must be informed beforehand and get it it writing, or they may decline cover in the event of an accident. This is a tricky area when buying upgrade bulbs. You have to think of two aspects. 1) Lumen - this measures brightness 2) Kelvin - this measures colour A brighter white light, say 6000 kelvin will be a lot whiter than the standard bulb but NO brighter if the Lumen value is the same as the standard bulb. It's just the colour of the light that is different not how much better you can see. There is a limit on the development of halogen bulbs. If the Kelvin was about 6k and the Lumen value was about 3k it would be a lot brighter and whiter but the heat created by the filament would mean a serious ..read more

Hi, most of the issues I am aware of on the 1.2 EB2 engines stem from the wet timing belt (belt in oil system) which can cause shredding of the belt material and clogging of the oil filter, leading to oil starvation, vacuum problems and ultimate failure of engine seizure due to oil starvation. I'm not aware of this issue. Is it an automatic? If so the only thing I can think of briefly is the oil / coolant exchanger where if these fail you can end up with transmission oil in the coolant.
