On Greek Easter Sunday, will it be lambs to the Anfield slaughter or will Spurs rise from the dead? Either way, I have the solace of a roast lamb luncheon at my favourite Greek restaurant. Much better than a Buster Burger or whatever Pook ate the other day. If you think our record at Stamford Bridge is bad (1 win in 39), we have only won 6 of 81 league visits to Anfield and our only league win this century was in 2011. Bonus points if you can guess who was on the scoresheet for us without... Liverpool vs Spurs, Sun, May 5, 11:30 am ..read more

And the final will no longer be the last match of the domestic season - it will be played on the Saturday of the penultimate round of fixtures. On the bright side, we have heard this for the last time: 'Neither manager will want a replay...' https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...league-winter-break-scrapped-from-next-season ..read more

Another early morning for me as Spurs get the rubbish lunchtime kickoff. Once again the TV beancounters stick a big finger in the face of football supporters who have to make the long trek up to the Northeast for the early kickoff. Football-wise, the Geordies have found a bit of form, collecting 10 points over their past 5 games, which has them in contention for another season of European football. This has always been the most unpredictable of fixtures as we've had 7-1, 5-1, and 6-1... Newcastle vs Spurs, Sat April 12, 7:30 am ET ..read more

Nuno returns to Nouveau WHL looking to avenge his sacking after just 10 games of the 2021-22 season. Forest are coming off an impressive 3-1 win over Fulham which lifted them 3 points clear of Luton in the relegation battle. Despite our draw at West Ham, the midweek results favoured us with Villa and Man U losing. Richie out with a knee injury, but everyone else available ..read more

Finally, a match at a decent hour for us folks in the Mighty Pacific Northwest! Fulham a different prospect at the Cottage, where they have won 8 of 14 (including Arsenal), scored 26 and conceded just 15. No VdV, will Dragusin get his first start ..read more

Porro makes his return, Richie still recovering. After a long period of dominance over them, they have beaten us 3 on the spin. Let's hope Romero doesn't lose his rag. This is a game that has controversial ref and VAR decisions written all over it ..read more

Son and Bissouma are available for selection. Lo Celso is back in training. Roberto de Zerbi is serving a touchline ban and also recovering from dental surgery so no repeat of the fiasco we saw last season among the benches. Joao Pedro (hamstring), Simon Adingra (AFCON), Julio Enciso, Solly March, James Milner and Joel Veltman have been ruled out for them. Matoma will be available for selection ..read more

Another 4:15 am wake-up call for me as Spurs head to Goodison Park for what I was going to call our penultimate league game there as Everton will play at Goodison next season before moving to their new home. However, the FFP Sword of Damocles is still hanging over the Toffees, who are now in real danger of relegation. Ange has said Sarr is available after returning from Afcon, and with Korea advancing to the semifinals of the Asia Cup, we won't have Son back until our game on the 17th. No...
