Below is the screenshot of the summary I had earlier in March/April applied for SBI Dividend Yield Fund NFO with 10k and watched it grow. When I started again recently, it was still a new world for me, so most of my 137 funds so far are in 1 time Rs. 100, some for Rs. 500 or 1000 and 2 funds for Rs. 5k each. The categorywise distribution is as follows ... My experiments with MFs ..read more

I have read several books and articles on mutual fund selection and i made it my goal to gather the criterias that help in picking good MF. Hi, I would like to start investing in mutual funds through ELSS SIP method. This is the scenario for which I have a question: I make my first installment (A) on 1-Jan-2023. So the lock-in period for ‘A’ would be would be 1-Jan-2026. I make another installment (B) on 1-Mar-2023. So the lock-in period for ‘B’ would be 1-Mar-2026. Suppose I don’t withdraw the funds from ‘A’ on 1-Jan-2026 but I withdraw it along with the funds from B on 1-Mar-2026. Note: When I say ‘funds’, I mean the initial... Suppose I need X amount to survive every year starting from next year onwards for the next 40 years. My corpus is say 40X. I want deltaX to be higher than inflation and at the same time, the risk is not too much (conservative to moderate). What kind of asset allocation and funds would you recommend ..read more
