Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas...=1000651539966 Transcript: https://fdx.alpa.org/Portals/7/Docum...yuIKLIrQ%3d%3d Kind of surprised it "took everyone by surprise" or whatever was implied, the "total" loss of the contract. Also, doubtful (being this is a federal contract, dependent on fiscal years) that "some of it stays" beyond October 1 this year, like implied on the podcast. Looks like day flying is pretty much done ..read more

It was encouraging to see the airing of grievances. Everyone enjoyed a behind-the-scenes look at the recent issues. Old business was moved to the back burner, and uncomfortable, probing questions regarding new business were taken from the rear of the group first. After starting with a little light humor, and being quick to crack a few jokes, the VP absolutely wrecked ‘em with his analogy of the present economic situation, to similar ones in the rear view mirror. However, many were quick to point out they are tired of being bent over by the company’s contract interpretations. Thanks to all t ..read more

According to the crew bus driver…. Wolves have been de-listed in Shelby County and as such, 'fortunes' may be changing for all. Be that a 'fellow' pilot wishing to occasionally improve his own schedule, the company, or last and most certainly least, the wolves. I don't have much else to add, my guess is that the company is taking a 'top down' approach to this problem. If anyone reading this is familiar with the actors, it's plain to see with a quick look in Vips ..read more

The latest blistering missive from the company on our union’s disfunction since TA1 was rejected was a tough read. It’s a scathing indictment of our current state as a union and pilot group. How did we get here? Is there any hope? What is the way forward? First, some background (as I see it): In the immediate aftermath of TA 1’s rejection, Jetfliers/Jetcriers, Whatsapp, APC, Bookface Messenger, etc. all devolved into a two-sided and contentious argument about why we had a rejected TA after two years of “focused negotiations”, and what was the best way forward. This state of discourse has led ..read more

Make sure to swallow the coffee you just drank before reading. I am not responsible for any damage done to devices that is a result of your reaction to this hilarious MEC Chair campaign add. Though you can certainly reach out to its author and demand reparations from him, he’s clearly swimming in cash since TA 1.0 was good enough for him. Quote: My name is [company shill] and I am running for MEC Chair because the direction this MEC is taking us continues to embarrass us as pilot group and sow disunity in ways that sabotages our ability to complete a contract for the indefinite future.
