We have a 7 month old Rottie named Ruger at home and he has been the best blessing ever. My boyfriend and us both got litter mates so we could raise them together. Their last dog, our first (together).
About a week ago Rugers brother suddenly passed in the middle of the night. No warning signs of being sick or injured. They did get an autopsy and are waiting to get the final results of all the testing. In the meantime, we got the preliminary findings basically what they found when they...

Hello. We have a rehomed breeding female Rottie. Her name is pretty. A little background on her and how we got her. We had one of her puppies and he passed away of cancer at 3 years of age. We saw his mother Pretty was up for rehoming. So a year ago today we picked her up to give her a good life and love as a 1 of 1 dog as she was one of 13. I will also say this she was rehomed once before and we don't know the exact situation other than it was the owners first time owning a dog and the...

I am thinking of fostering a young male Rottie and he has a cherry eye. I've seen it, but know nothing about it. What causes it? Can it be treated with medication? Will it get worse? Do I need to keep him from playing with Lizzie ..read more

Hi! I'm Emily and my heart is set on getting a Rottweiler in the future. They seem like the right breed for me with typically being medium energy, intelligent, food driven for training purposes, good with children, and of course loyal and protective companion dogs. I won't actually be contacting any breeders/rescues for a few more years because I'm still working to be in the position to be a responsible dog mom, but I'm someone who likes to do research and find a community to prepare me for...

This is a PSA about Crystal Creek Rottweilers in Fort Wayne Indiana. I lost my two rotties to old age within the last year. The most recent at the end of November, I've been devastated but I felt the best way to move on was with a new pup. I did my research and put a 300 dollar deposit down for the only male in a litter of 3 to be available within a month. 2 days before the scheduled pickup I received a call saying he mistakenly sold my puppy to someone else. Apparently Loren, the owner...

Haven't had a new dog for approx 12 years and things seem to have changed in that time and i'm sure the 2 questions i'm going to ask have been covered in the past .
1. I was always led to believe that feeding an adult dog twice a day was best but now seeing that feeding once a day is more healthier, thought please !
2. A raised feeding bowl was best for the dogs digestion, now reading that a raised bowl is a factor in dogs getting bloat, is this correct or a myth ?

I highly recommend United Pet Care! I have it for my rott and it’s saved me so much money because we didn’t know he was sick when we got him. I quoted traditional pet insurances and it was $110 a month pre-existing exclusions, max limits, deductibles, etc. This doesn’t have any of that and it covers pre-existing. If you go through this link, it’s only $20/mon and use the broker code (my insurance boss - individual) vs if you don’t use the broker code. You’ll enter the broker name right under...
