I’m not sure if this is normal or not? But if I ever use the engine for a bit in say Charge or save mode, when I turn the car off I get this constant clicking noise which sounds like it’s coming from under the car? And it can last for up to 15mins, it’s not random clicks either it like one every half second or so, sometimes it speeds up even faster, does anyone have this ..read more

Is there a way to force the ICE engine to engage and rev?

Good morning, I was getting an oil change done a few weeks ago and encountered a real dumb problem that I haven't found a solution to. The technician was trying to check something and asked me to rev the gas engine in my PHEV to listen for something. I realized I didn't know if there was a way to do that. I put it in neutral, put it in park, turned on "battery saver" mode, I got nothin. I guess the car is just too smart, and I drove away without whatever the tech was trying to listen for and... Bought my Outlander in USA, and temporarily relocated to Canada last year. On encountering the problem, I went to the nearest dealer who said they are not allowed to fix it, that I have to take the car across the border to be fixed. However, he was quick to handle another open recall on the vehicle. It a lot of inconvenience as the car cant drive in its current state over 900km across the border, I'm in a fix. Why cant Mitsubishi stand behind its product ..read more

I have always liked the look of the latest gen outlander, And I have found a good deal on a 1yr old pre owned. I came here, and see ALOT of issues. Now I am wondering if its worth the hassle? Sure having a 10yr warranty would be nice, but im wondering if the newer outlanders have the kinks worked out? Its a 2023 se black edition. 15k miles. Any advice would be appreciated ..read more

Over the past few weeks on my commute i have been checking all of the diagnostics to make sure all is running smooth. I have had my 2023 PHEV for a year now and have 16,000 KM on it, but have noticed that on my commute which is usually 30-40 min, the battery temp gets pretty far past the halfway point. I recently took it on a 4 hour road trip, and the battery temp was all the way into the max zone area for majority of the duration of the drive. Is this normal? We have a Rav4 Prime as well... These vehicles need time to discharge capacitors and clear computers before disconnecting the aux battery. Picked up the below procedure from a TSB I found describing how to remove the drive battery. 1. Remove the charging cable if the vehicle is being charged. 2. Turn the power switch to OFF. 3. Open the hood and tail-gate. 4. Turn the ignition ON. 5. Press the power switch for more than 5 seconds. 6. Close the driver side door and wait for more than 5 minutes. 7. Check if illumination of... Another Fusebox Cover Hack

These are velcro cable ties. Find them in most hardware stores and Amazon. You'll see the original fuse box lock nubs are raised molded little bar things. Attach the cable ties to these bars as below. Make sure the both ties are facing the same way so the when you lay them on top of each other one loop side meets a hook side. Snap off the original locking clips on the cover. I left the front 'L" as it sits in the base and... Another Fusebox Cover Hack ..read more
