Sorry if this has been covered. I am not new to the Mokka (On my third one) but ive just bought my first X (Active 1.6CDTi) and cannot understand the operation of the front sensors! On my previous 2 old models, the front sensors were operative all the time and you used the switch only to deactivate but, it appears that on the X the opposite is the case where you have to press the switch to activate them? Now, I havent a problem with that but, it says in the manual that if you push the... Front Parking Sensors ..read more

Hi, I have a diesel mokka 1.7 and had the recall in 2021. Now, that issue is back with a vengeance! The light comes on the brake pedal gets stuck and you have to pull it up with your foot. Spoke to Vauxhall who said they would look into it. Advisor rang and said he spoke to the dealership who said they’ve never seen my car! I have actually been there a few times. Advisor said he will carry on investigating. I found evidence in the form of card payment to prove I’ve been there and sent it to... Mokka brake issue ..read more

Random loss of acceleration Mokka

i have a Vauxhall Mokka Jan 2015 registration with 115,000 on the clock. Problem is that I completely lose acceleration randomly when the car has been driven for about 40+ miles and/or generally started up a few times n between shorter drives. I can be driving at a constant speed, no gear changes or other interaction and the gas just goes. Not limp mode, it goes completely without cutting of the engine but comes to a stand still. No amount of pumping the gas will get it to pick up but... Random loss of acceleration Mokka ..read more

Hi, I purchased my 2016 Mokka last month, last Thursday the brake pedal started to stick, whereby when I pressed it the pedal would stay down, at the same time the car and wheels where extremely hot, I’m currently having the brake calipers replaced. After reading some of the threads on this site I’m concerned there maybe an underlying issue with the car as the car as only done 48,000 miles and when I purchased the car the wheel trims had bubbled and I’m wondering if this was an indication... Rear differential

Hi, have just found the excellent thread here about the Haldex or otherwise rear differential. Mine has failed catastrophically due to corrosion of the aluminium casing. Can anyone confirm a replacement from a 2018 Mokka is the same as my 2014, both diesel. They physically look the same and have the same electric wiring connection but wonder if ratios or anything else might be different. Will it need coding to the car or will it be plug’n’play? Thank you, John ..read more

Brake caliper life expectancy?

Mokka (2014) 1.4T auto, 88,000 miles. Five months after service and MOT, during routine checks, noticed cap missing from brake fluid reservoir. Took car to workshop for replacement fluid and new cap. Technician discovered "brakes seized" in all four calipers. (message error, see later comment) Question. What is typical working life of brake calipers on Mokka ..read more
