I have a 30 gallon with some tetras, plecos, and a danio. The tanks water looks really bad you can’t see through it and is mostly green. I’ve don’t multiple water changes and even changed the type of filter to see if that works. Nothing has worked so I need help. Any advice considered. Hi, This has happened to two of my GDs now. Their bellies are full off eggs and look quite red and are very soft. I found some one with the same problem on this site from 2007 and the last comment was that it could be dropsy. I have had fish with that before and I dont think thats it. It is a 480 litre aquarium and its quite heavily planted. All other fish in the tank are fine and the water quality is great - no ammonia, no nitrites and low nitrates... I'm new to this forum, my tank got devastated by a fish with Ich from an awful pet store in a new town I just moved to. My tank managed to tolerate the 3 hour move okay, I had 2 Fancy goldfish, one black Moor/black telescope one gold telescope eye, a Cory catfish, a frog (I don't remember what kind but fully aquatic) and a pleco. My (very sexy) Flame Fancy male only seems interested in 1 of 3 females in a tank with no other species. The female has recently slimmed after being ginormous for ages, and I spied 4 teeny tiny babies around the same time. The other females are looking like they're going to explode, seems like they're ready to let the fry out, but can/will they release fry with the male being obsessed with the only non-preg female??? I’ve had my betta for about 7+ months and he’s been the picture of health. However I noticed that he’s been a little less active the past couple days and yesterday he had no interest in eating! Which is verrry abnormal for him (in addition for it being abnormal for bettas). So I've been keeping fish for the last 24 months or so, spending the first 12 learning through research, and trial and error.
