My 1971-4 Ford LGT 100 has been out in the weather for the past few years. Now I am working on restoring it. The RUBBER TYPE steering wheel just looks really bad because of the weather. Does anyone have ideas on cleaning - restoring it back to almost new looking luster? I really don't want to just start cleaning it with chemicals that may or may not ruin it. I have not even washed it with mild soap and water yet...As I am trying to remove it from the tractor, I been spraying a lot of PB... Read more ..read more

Good day, New farmer here, from Europe, bought 300 acres in Africa like any normal person and I need to work on it. Crops will be mainly maize and soybeans plus forage crops like alfalfa, sorghum, rye, etc and some vegetables. The tractor/implements market here is completely different so I have in mind 2 options for an 4WD 120 HP tractor: First option: 6 disc plow, working width 1,5m/59 inch, working depth 250mm/ ~10 inch plus an heavy duty hydraulic offset disc harrow, 3.4m/134... My neighbor’s selling his electric Comuta-car. Kind of cool, but not something I would want to drive on the road. Like he said, it’s basically a street legal golf cart. It runs on (8) 6 volt batteries ..read more

Local fabrication shop is going to make a pair of rear wheel spacers for the Bever loader CUT. Going to take one wheel off, use the loader to load it in the pickup and it goes to the shop today. About an 8 mile drive so decided this would be easier. Both wheels have to come off to install the spacer anyway. Tractor has a couple small jobs to do first this morning ..read more

Been prepping the hay equipment for the upcoming hay season. Pulled the loader off of the Case IH 485 and hooked up the New Holland 477 Haybine. Installed the sickle and lifting cylinder and greased it all up. Then today I mowed a pasture that the grass got ahead of the cows. Its still really wet here but they say we should get 5-6 days of sun so I hope to make a few bales out of this grass ..read more

My grandfather bought this new, I haven’t figured out the year yet, but I would guess late 70s or early 80s. He gave it to my dad, and he used it until about 15 years ago. The last time he tried to use it it wouldn’t run right. We don’t remember why, but it probably was something simple like needing the carb cleaned, but instead of fixing it, he went and bought a tiller attachment for his weedwacker and pushed this outside. I don’t really like the weedwacker attachment and wanted a regular... Read more ..read more

Guys I just purchased a Satoh 370d that has a loader and backhoe. Upon getting it home I noticed the loader has a crack on the frame. It does have a cylinder leaking, so I think one arm is doing all the work. Maybe this is what caused the crack. I do plan on getting the cylinder fixed asap. How would you guys go about repairing this crack ..read more
