My MT240 has a noticeable hydraulic squeal at startup. It only happens for a few seconds and when the tractor has been sitting for a few days. Is this a common issue? Should I be concerned or should I not worry about it. I have been on a friend's Kubota tractor that seemed to make the same noise on startup, so it may just be a normal noise. I'm coming from a Ford 8n, so I'm not used to some of the newer technology ..read more

Hello everybody, my first time here. I’m a new tractor owner. 2023 Branson 2610H.
I was looking over my owner manual for the bucket operation and I want to use the “float” feature but I don’t even know if it is equipped. When I push the lever forward as instructed with bucket level, all that wants to happen is my front end wants to come up after bucket hits ground. I do not feel the lever wanting to move more forward or lock in place.
Any pointers are appreciated ..read more

Having trouble starting a Yanmar 240D. Used it and parked it. Now getting lots of white smoke but doesn't even make a pop even with a block heater making it warm. Last try I decided to adjust the valves and I was able to put a 8" wrench on one of the front pulley nuts and turn the crank fairly easily to adjust the valves. How hard should it be to turn the engine over? And is the TDC mark on the front pulley the proper spot to set the valves? There is a clear difference in starter effort when...

I've got a gearbox from an 84" 3 point finish mower that decided to eat gears. It's a bobcat branded mower that's from around 2012. Parts NLA lucky me. I'm trying to find either gears to repair myself, or a whole be gearbox (prefer the cheaper option whichever that may be).
What I know... The input is 6 spline and the output is 1.25" diameter keyed with threads on the bottom for a castle nut. Gear ratio is 1:2.83. 34 teeth on the one gear, 12 on the other.
Any leads where I can look for...

I have owned a 2002 chevy Silverado 4.3L WT single cab long bed since new, but have never used it for anything other than normal homeowner hauling. I had access to larger trucks (rollbacks, medium wreckers) for any of my heavy needs. Over the past few years I lost access to the heavier trucks and now find myself needing to use the truck for towing. I was/am tempted to buy a newer larger truck but the sticker prices chase me off.
For recent projects I have acquired a Bobcat 743...

My son was moving some stuff around the yard, tractor was running fine, he put it in neutral (it's a hydro) and when he got off the seat it died. Turn key and no crank. Here's what I've tried/learned so far:
Turning on the key the dash lights up
Turn key to start position and nothing happens
Fuses all okay
Seat safety switch appears to be working. With key on, press switch and hear solenoid "click" under hood, press switch and read 12V at the neutral safety switch
Neutral...
