I recently noticed something off about the reversing wheel of my Shunbun (SBGA413/443) On closer inspection with a loupe, I can confirm that it is Dirt/grime/burring (take your pick) mixed with lubricant. In fact there are 7-8 of these lumps of various sizes all around that wheel. The watch less than 11 months ago and based on how I have used it, there is no good reason for something like to pop up so soon. I have an SGBE257. Sad to say that I never pick up the watch to wear again, it’s been maybe 12-18 months since I’ve worn it. I even thought about selling it for awhile (and I never sell watches) because I just never wear it, but got an offer for $3k which is less than half of what I paid at MSRP. Curious what people think. I haven’t heard a good reason yet. GS finishes their bracelets really well. They also have a slight taper, usually 20mm down to 18mm. But the taper isn’t enough, 20mm to 16mm is perfect (as evident by what most of the luxury brands do). So why doesn’t GS taper their bracelets more? I hate how big they are ..read more
