This is what I've been led to believe, but having just brought two here in Tokyo, I'm not seeing it. In fact in terms of time keeping the one's I've just bought are terrible I normally expect about +10 at worst, but these two are running +25 & -15 respectively. Yes I know that's within Seiko spec but I'm used to much better out of the box.
