P0133 Code

I know this has been covered extensively; however, I haven't been able to get a clear answer searching this forum or pistonheads. I've received a P0133 code (bank 1, sensor 1 for O2 sensor) on and off for the past few years. It usually goes away with the next drive cycle—until recently. So, I'm hoping to purchase a new 02 sensor. A few questions: I've read to replace the sensors in pairs—is there a difference between upcycle and downcycle sensors? I believe bank 1 sensor 1 is an upcycle location. Am I correct? I've read that there are identical sensors from Ford with a different part number ..read more

2007 DB9 Sirius radio

After fitting the factory iPod and Bluetooth streaming kits to my DB9 and recoding the car, I thought I'd take a chance on a used Sirius module from an 08 Vantage. The gamble paid off and I was able to get the Sirius tuner working. I'm pretty sure our 07 is now the most uniquely equipped DB9 with the Linn 950 system, bluetooth streaming, ipod/mp3, and Sirius radio. Still need to find a place to mount the antenna under the parcel shelf. Reception isn't great in the garage, but music does break in and out. It seems like it's already activated, so I'm hopeful I found one with a lifetime subscrip ..read more

Identifying and labeling the Fuse Box

I got tired of trying to identify fuses from the fuse box located below the passenger footwell. So, I numbered each fuse along with a copy of all the fuse functions in the footwell of my 2007 Vantage. If interested, you can see the fuse box identified and numbered in its current configuration along with descriptions of what circuit each fuse protests. https://bernardembden.com/am/fusebox/index.htm ..read more

I've been on the fence for some time about joining the NY region of the Aston Martin Owners Club. Some of the events look fun. Is anyone here a member of any chapter? Would love to hear about your experience. (Photo from a non-AMOC show I attended with my 2010 V8 ..read more

2005 DB9 Volante - Roof Movement Paused

Hi all, DB9 has recently started to show "Roof Movement Paused" error every time I try to raise and lower the roof. The roof still lowers completely fine but when it reaches the end of the cycle it doesn't say "Movement Complete" as it normally should, and once I release the switch it will come up with the "Roof Movement Paused" error. When trying to raise the roof back up, everything functions normally but when the roof is about 2 inches away from the windscreen it stops, but if I release the switch and press again, it fully completes the cycle. But again, it doesn't say "Movement Complete ..read more

Need help sourcing a new convertible top control module

Hey All- got the bad news today that, contrary to 2 other professional diagnoses (exotic techs/the Dealer (they did not examine the car to be fair), my 2010 V8V Roadster needs a module (I will try to attach a pic). Dealer is researching whether/if the unit can be 'reprogrammed', seeing as how it states right on it "Programmable"..... If not a new one is like 2,000 US Dollars......INsane. Wondering if anyone might suggest some other supplier besides AM. Or, an AM dealer in the US that doesn't mark up its parts by 200%.... Many thanks for any help you might provide ..read more
