Good day
I am planning to convert my pre-2016 x-carve to a full time laser machine, so I bought the LASERTREE 40W Laser, my challenge is that the laser requires a PWM/TTL and my controller does not have any PWM/TTL output please can you guide me as to where I can connect the PWM on the controller, I have attached the picture of the controller for ease of reference, apologies if this issue was discussed already.
Thank you

Years ago, I bought some Light Diffuser Films (23114-01) from here and I just found the package. I need to confirm it’s laser-safe before I can use it, but it’s no longer in the online store. There’s no other branding. I’m pretty sure it’s safe to laser (otherwise why did I buy it?) but I need to be absolutely sure given the dangers.
Anybody know for sure? TIA.

I’m looking to add a laser to my X Carve mainly for etching, not cutting. LASER TREE brand (10W optical) looks impressive with a lot of features for less money. Has anyone tried a LASER TREE laser?

I’m thinking of getting a laser etcher to do lettering on aluminum panels that I use for electronics work. I saw here that a member iD’d as RayMacke showed some pix of how did black lettering by painting the panel black first; then lighter color; the layered off the light color to expose the black. I’d love to get more info on how that’s done or any other tips on how to do it. I am a complete neophyte with the laser etchers but learn pretty quick.
Thanks
Tony

I have had good success by painting the aluminum first with Bullseye 123 Primer and then a coat of whatever light color of Rustoleum 2X spray paint I want for the end result. When dry use my JTech 2.8 w laser running at about 75% power at 20 inches per minute to burn the text. Without touching the burns (it will smear) I then hit it with a Rustoleum 2X Clear Gloss and it locks it all in. The text comes out sharp and dark.

I received the Opt Laser PLH3 6W. I setup the way instructions from online and youtube instructed. I used Lightburn and started the burn process but the laser will flash on then off but it will go through the whole process as if it was carving. Any help is appreciated.

Are there any CO2 Laser Cutting Engraving Machine owners here?
I have for you original ideas for summer products, both for personal use and for gifts.
This summer I saw some amazing laser engraving designs outside from key rings and signs, to jewellery and personalized décor.
You can use various types of wood, including reclaimed, birch, cherry, maple and oak to do some product interesting for others.

Hallo togehter,
I have a problem with my laser, if the laser changes the direction I will get bad lines.
If I work with pictures so I can fix the problem by overrun mode.
But if I use text or lines so I see the problems again.
Have anyone an idea what is the problem. See the pictures.
The speed isn´t very high (1200).
Thank you very much.

(I’m completely new to laser cutter/etcher world)
So I bought it on amazon, I etched a logo(with lasergrbl) and it looked perfect, but I didn’t write any of the parameters down. When I tried to do it a second time to make it go a little deeper (2-3 passes) it came out terrible.
Now all my projects look terrible.
(I’m selecting Line To Line Tracing)
Questions-
How do I find out the max and min for Quality(Lines/mm)?
How do I know the max speed of my laser cutter/etcher?
I’ve seen on YouTube that some people set their laser etchers to 3200 and some to 500-800, What I’d like to find out is what i ..read more
