I’m looking for a deployant clasp to use with my soon-arriving Vanguard strap for my BB58. The OEM clasp is obviously the most desirable, but my budget doesn’t permit it at the moment. Are there any excellent alternatives under, say, $125 that you’d recommend? Thanks ..read more

Didn’t get The Call, but got Lucky in Las Vegas

Went to Vegas for work this week, and considering the significant number of watch stores on the strip I figured it would be a great time to try on alot of different pieces and pick myself up a nice 50th birthday present. Walk into the new Bucherer Time Dome, which is apparently the largest watch store in the world and walk out with a new Datejust. I think this piece is special enough for the 50th while still being subtle enough for daily wear. Going in I probably would have been looking... Tudor Black Bay Harrods Accuracy

I brought my Tudor and Apple watch on a trip to Europe. Except for the time I was wearing the Apple watch for activity tracking, I wore the Black Bay for the most part. When I checked into the hotel in Vienna on April 20th, I set the Tudor to Austrian time and have not recalibrated since then until the end of the trip. I pulled out the Tudor to reset it to EDT just now, and, to my surprise, I realized that the watch had not lost/gained a second for 12 consecutive days. I am not sure how... BB GMT and Forstner model O and now Model J

I know I’m late to the party, but I only recently became aware of bracelet options for the BB GMT. Most people felt the Forstner was the better choice over the others, so that’s what I ordered. I don’t dislike the rivets, but I’m not a huge fan of the step down links. I’m a big fan of the Oyster bracelet. Maybe someday Tudor will make one for these models like they did with the Ranger for the BB58. It’s obviously not as nice as the OEM bracelet, but it sure is comfy. I like it... Chipped Sapphire

So while innocently fondling my Exp. I noticed a near imperceptible chip in the sapphire around the 11 o’clock. It’s very tiny, but definitely there. My question, how many of you are ok with and tolerate tiny chips in the sapphire? Is this an auto send back for some of you or do you keep it until general service or a more significant ding? I’ve seen a couple posts and videos saying the watch market in general is dropping? I was curious, Is this accurate? and if so, How is it effecting vintage Rolex in particular? I’m currently in the market for a vintage daydate, A 80s/90s model most likely, With the quickset feature. trying to see if this is a good time To buy, Or if I should wait a bit ..read more

So I am looking for a Datejust to gift my wife for her upcoming birthday. It’s sort of a milestone and a big deal (to her anyway My question for the forum is; doesn’t it really matter to get the latest reference? To be more specific, say a 178xxx versus a 278xxx. I would want it to be a full set, and the newer reference does have a premium nowadays ..read more

Tudor Submariner dial question

Hey there, First off, I want to thank everyone on this forum for the great content! I’ve learned a lot over years from this forum and truly appreciate your help as I take this wonderful watch journey. I’ve become obsessed with Tudors and particularly the Submariner. I’m slowly learning the various differences in references. On occasion I have come across pictures showing Submariners (79090 & 79190) dials that are missing the “T” next to the “Swiss Made” at the bottom of the dial. Is...
