I have been having an issue today where I was driving my Buick Lucerne 2006 CX 3.8 Litre engine. While driving the car the engine just stopped working. When the engine stopped I hear the locks on all the doors click to engage and disengage as if the door is locking and unlocking when this occurs. Rpms which is normally 100 to 200 RPMS depending if i am giving gas or not go to Zero. The cluster panel is all lit and has power and shows the millage of the car even after the engine cuts off... No check engine light but my scanner shows high VOLTAGE, yep voltage. The GM shop manual is useless. It shows a 3500, whatever that may be, and a 4.6. YOUTUBE is no help. Looks like the starter has to be removed which requires removal of the motor mount. Any thoughts or experience with this problem ..read more

Hi all, As you can probably tell by the title, someone sideswiped me a few days ago. Fortunately everyone is ok but my GS is not. They merged into me and damaged my front driver side fender, bumper, wheel and side mirror. The force of the impact also pushed my car into the curb on the passenger side damaging the rims. The blind spot indicator on the passenger mirror was temperamental and now it doesn’t work at all. Dealership confirmed corrosion on the wires/harness behind the mirror and quoted $1,125, saying the entire mirror had to be replaced. Is there any way to just replace the corroded portions by soldering a new wire or something? Any ideas? Since i had my PA, the blower only worked full power, controlled by a switch the PO installed. I then tried to build a controller myself, but this worked only half way good. All the replacements were to expencive for me.... I cant get the car to connect using aftermarket key fobs for the car I can get it into programming mode but holding down lock and unlock at the same time doesn't do anything no matter how long I hold it The car randomly chimes in response when I spam the lock and unlock randomly I took it to batteries + bulbs to get it programmed using a scanner and they were unsuccessful Is my ECU in some sort of lockdown mode? The front struts are leaking. They have the time dampening or active suspension struts, which are no longer made. Has anyone been able to find a delete kit so regular struts can just be put on? thanks ..read more
