Hi All, I am a 32 year old, British Citizen with a fiancé and a young child. We would like to relocate to Australia as a family. I am an experienced merchandiser and demand planner (which isn't a recognised skilled job in Aus) and my partner is a sales manager for a Freight Forwarder. As we have a dependant, we cant go on a working visa and as I'm not a skilled worker, I'm not sure where to go. We are really keen to make a move before we get 'too old'. We are happy to consider anything, like possibility to retrain etc. Can anyone help with: Which Visa might work? A recommendation for an immigr ..read more

Apologies if thisbhas been heavily discussed elsewhere. I am currently exploring the possibiluty of a mkve to Australia and wanted to hear sime thoughts from those that have gone through the process. Ive got no fixed timelines currently so I guess I am at the very early stages and have done a bit of research. Essentially I am curious to hear others stories who were in a similar position to myself. I am 38 years old, UK national currently working for a major global university doing all things video - marketing, events, producing online learning programmes, resources for staff and students, live ..read more

Hi all, I’m back here again after a loooooong hiatus, I was a moderator on here for a while. I applied for and was granted a 189 Skilled Visa in 2015, I activated the visa before returning to the UK. For various complicated reasons I was unable to return to Australia and instead remained in the UK. Obviously my 189 has expired now, I’m aware that there’s a chance I could apply for an RRV, but before all that I may need to travel to Australia for an interview in the next couple of weeks. I have an old drink driving conviction when I was stupid teenager so I’m aware that I can’t apply for an eVi ..read more

Hi there, we applied for 190 Visa on May 2023 and has been on bridging visa since then. During this, I got pregnant and had a baby on March. Unfortunately we had a rough experiencing during birthing and baby got sick in her initial days. She recovered very well but doctors have said she *might* be at risk of developmental delays due to difficult birth. Present day, she is doing well and so far there has been no signs of any concerns. She has been checked and Paediatrician said she is growing age appropriately. But the physiotherapist from child development services will keep her under monitori ..read more

We applied for the onshore visa 143 visa 3 years ago and have now decided after 17 years travelling back and forth to see our only son who has now a 1 year daughter to sell up and finally move to Oz and apply for the Visa 864. We are now in our seventies and travelling to Oz is now getting to be a bit of a problem. Do you lose your queue date when apply for the contribution aged parent visa 864. Also I know contributory 143 applicants are now have a 12 year time date but don’t know when ours would be approved after 3 years. We could apply for the cheaper visa 804 wait time 30 years and spend t ..read more

Hello all, we have just started our visa process for a 186 visa. Our 7 year old has been on a ADHD waiting list for the past year but now that we want to make the move, I realise it might be a problem. Now we are thinking to take him off the waiting list but could that still be a problem as they will see that he was on a waiting list? Thanks ..read more
