Removing the crate partition

Hello All I am back with another question Zuko is using a full size crate since we got him at 8 weeks. As he grew - the partition kept moving back. In the 3 months we have had him we never had any accidents in the crate - (touch wood). That said he is now 5 months and we have maybe another 8 inches or so blocked by the partition in the crate. Is it OK to remove the partition completely now? I ask because at times I feel he can use that space when he stretches or just plays with... Removing the crate partition ..read more

Going to try & not ramble with my frustration! I got my baby cropped at a vet in GA (almost 2 hours away), who was recommended by our breeder. Prior to reaching out to them, I contacted the only local vet (Tallahassee) that does this procedure & they said it would be $1500. I wasn't too pleased with the vet that we went to as the staff were kind of rude & I never met the Dr. I thought he would at least meet w us after procedure but no. Her stitches looked good & I figured it's probably just... Need advice about crop ..read more

Bloat, does timing prevent severe consequences?

Anouk was super gassy yesterday evening, not her thing. Food all the same. I make her wait in the car a while after we go out for fetch so she can’t gulp too much water, but she might have had a lot at once when she got in. Didn’t pay attention maybe. Anyway, I was up at 2am cleaning up barf. Just some treat bits and yellow regular slime. I gave her half a gas-x tab and she was fine after that. Normal poop etc this morning. I’ve never had a dog get bloated. Our closest 24 ER vet is sixty... Bloat, does timing prevent severe consequences ..read more

Hi everyone! Looking for some advice. I was advised to begin feeding my puppy 2 times a day. He is 14 weeks old. Has anyone done this? Kinda seems too soon but upon googling, there is alot of info that it works well for dobies digestion and longevity to have that fast period. Thoughts please ..read more

So this Atlas is 1 year and 1 month old. And his sleep routine each night is absolutely bonkers with paws. Each night around 8-830pm has we’ve settled down for the day he starts fighting sleep like a toddler. Flipping pillows and/or blankets on the couch, get very nippy and stubborn. After about 30 min his battery dies and he flops down and passes out. That is until we move from the couch to the bed. The process starts all over again. He circles the bed like a shark nippy and fleaing the... Help with this velociraptor’s sleep routine ..read more

Switch to all life stages formula?

Hello Zuko will be 5 months May 1st. He is currently on Purina Pro Sports Chicken and Rice - All life stages and Stella and Chewy raw coated Salmon and Chicken - Puppy formula. I have been reading here that most folks switch to adult formula at 6 months. I am looking to switch completely to PPP starting May 1st. Is 5 months too soon to switch from puppy formula to all life stages/adult formula? Also he is fed 3 times a day currently. When do I switch to twice a day? Thanks Sunny ..read more
