Hello everyone,
This is my first post on here and as the title says, I am looking for a breeder in the NC area. I wouldn't mind driving up to 12 hours for a reputable breeder but something closer to my state would be ideal. I've been doing my own research but have been running into a lot of backyard breeders and have just been biding my time until I find a good and responsible breeder. I've always loved Dobermans and am looking for a loyal dog that can accompany me on the occasional hike as...

Hi everyone it’s been a long time since I made a post here.
My girl Luna is almost 3 and a half years old and was spayed about 6 months ago. I did a lot of research and wanted to wait to have her spayed to prevent incontinence problems.
Guess why we are at the vet today? incontinence issues.
She started leaking urine a couple months ago, we brought her in, they treated it as if it was a bacterial infection, gave us some medicine that did help for a bit since she did have some minor...

Draco's just had his first echocardiogram/doppler done, and the results are impeccable.
His heart is healthy and strong, with no anommalies for his breed/age (2'9 years) per his cardiologist, so he's been labelled as DCM Free (for now).
I thought maybe it'd be useful to upload his heart reading and echo pictures as a reference for dobermann owners so you can see what a healthy heart looks like on this breed and what the parameters are.
A Holter wasn't recommended yet due to him being so...

I didn't think I was going to be able to do it this year but after 3 days of struggling with the drastic changes they made, I stumbled across a roundabout way of doing it.
They are under "Strictly Dobermans" and "Simply Dogs" and I made one of our own under "Dobermans of Minnesota" with our dogs and some of their pups.

Started off as a scab and I thought it was from her prong, which has rubber covers on the tips. Thinking maybe it wasn’t the prong now? I have stoped putting the prong in that area and most walls don’t use it.
The skin around the scab is also dry and some fur came off too. Now it appears to be a pink colored small boil.
I have antibacterial ointment on it, hence the greasy look.
We see the vet for shots in a few weeks, not sure if I should wait. She doesn’t seem bothered by it ..read more

I got an early Christmas present (or at least that's what I'll call it) and bought a holter monitor. Both of these dogs are young and I don't want to rent or borrow one every year and be responsible for it if it's someone else's.
I rented one a while ago and they sent a vest that was too small so I never did get a reading after 4 tries and they said there were 2 memory cards in there when there was only 1 so I wound up paying an extra $35 to replace it, not to mention shipping...

We had this trip planned for awhile but had to keep postponing it due to bad weather. Thanks hurricane season lol. I was so happy that the weather was perfect this time! It was supposed to just be 2 nights to see how he did but we did need to leave sort of abruptly last night. I’ll add more about that in a reply to this, I don’t want to take away from the trip itself.
Day one:
We wanted Remy to burn off a little energy before we set up the tent (5 hour car ride to get there) so we walked...
