The clutch on the '89 stopped disengaging. I assumed the clutch slave cylinder had gone bad and replaced it. It worked OK for a short drive, but then gradually quit working on a longer drive. Did the same thing again after rebleeding. Finally found a tiny pinhole leak in clutch hose, which has joined the unobtainium list. Most of the hydraulic shops I talked to can't make a hose with banjo fittings. After much searching finally found one that could. OK so while I don't need them immediately it appears that LITERALLY NOBODY is making G2 struts anymore!! No more KYBs, no more KONIs, no more MONROE, no more Bilstein, certainly no more OEM, no NOTHING!! Does anyone know of any brands that still exist to restore an OEM ride? Right now my 95 coupe is still running OEM struts, and my 91 coupe is running KONI reds. I don't like the KONIs since Baltimore City roads are the Devil, but at least I have a lifetime warranty for them. Not so much for my OEMs which will need replacing at some point!!
