I've been threatening for the longest time to make a Peach Persimmon soap and got around to it two days ago. Fragrance is from OT "Peach Mango" and smells absolutely lovely! Like when I was a kid on the farm having spent all day picking peaches from Grandpa's orchard - juicy sweet fresh ripe peaches. Today I unmolded and cut the soap. I have been biting off more than I can chew playing in my “lab” making soap and trying techniques inspired by the soap challenge and watching I Dream in Soap flawlessly execute some exquisite projects. I changed my masterbatch recipe - trying out new things everytime my crockpot empties - and now my soap seems to be crumbling. I assume that I can let others know that Wholesalesuppliesplus.com has many, many fragrances on closeout for supercheap right now. I accidently found them yesterday by scrolling one by one through every single fragrance that was SALE, OVERSTOCK or CLOSEOUT- there were probably 500+ under that category. I was looking for a grapefruit fragrance. They are actually made/sold by MakeYourOwn.Buzz, but for some reason, being sold for them by WSP. WSP had no info about them. but by googling, I... Hello community! So glad to be a part of this forum! I'm fairly new to soap making and bought these loaf moulds that are meant to be used without wooden casings on the outside. I've made 2-3 batches of soap and I noticed the shape of the soap changing..the bottom remains nice and straight but the top has started to warp inwards..this makes the soap look wide at the bottom and thin at the top! I am experimenting with carrot soap. I made one with carrot juice only plus some annatto powder for color. I see recipes that also include carrot purée, in addition to juice. Can anyone explain the qualities that the puree adds? I wonder if the additional organic material would tamp down lather. Any tips on carrot soap appreciated ..read more
