My Husqvarna 323L string trimmer just stripped something, either shaft or trimmer head. It is time for a new trimmer anyway, so before I start spending the time to fix this, I am ready to buy a new one. Any recommendations for a new pro-grade light weight trimmer. This is my first post to this site but have been lurking for a while - great group of guys here and lot of info. Based on some of the opinions found here I bought a used 2005 Scag 36" belt drive with the advantage deck. It came with a steel grass catcher and high lift blades but up until yesterday I had only used the mulch plate and scag mulch blades. Hello guys and gals! I have a huge problem... bid 9 mobile home parks and got them, about 400 lots. Went low $3.50 lot, there is trash everywhere and I am working myself to death! Anyway, he said one had a lagoon which looked like a quaint little pond with a fence (thought i might see if i could fish it). I did not walk near it until i went to mow it... IT IS A SEWAGE POND! I may be able to get a Ransomes 728D at an auction. I don't know how old it is yet, or the hours. Were these good machines even when new? Any typical bugaboos on these models that I should be aware of? The auction bill says it comes with a cab, snowblade and snow blower, too. Are these Ransomes add-ons or something else altogether. Year after year my over salted property in the winter months scorches the sides of my driveway grass.I don't maintain or regulate the salt, each year I seed and grow the area just to be destroyed again .Is there any type of grass which can handle this situation better?
