On 16 December 2023, soccer captain Tom Lockyer suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed during a match at Vitality Stadium in Bournemouth. On September 13, 65-year old Linda Carr went into cardiac arrest during a Zumba class in South Run Recreation Center in Fairfax County. The class instructor, another participant, a lifeguard, and a manager applied CPR and AED shocks until the emergency services arrived.
