As title states, I purchase a 2-piece rotor and was excited for the weight reduction and the performance I can get from it. Instead, I find myself hating that the hub and outer of the rotor has surface rust that won't go away because the brake-pads aren't hitting those areas. So what exactly can I do to get rid of it because it looks ugly and looks like I don't take care of my car when I do ..read more

2015 STI
The clunk happens going up and down driveways quickly. its a loose feeling clunk. while driving it feels fine. If i steer rapidly left and right while driving, very responsive and feels fine.
I have replaced: front ball joints (MOOG) , MOOG tie rod ends, front lower control arms, urethane sway bar bushings greased liberally, even new sway bar bushing brackets and hardware, new MOOG sway bar end links, front struts and top hats. The struts and lower control arms are from 2019 STI...

@jerfodor made a comment in a different thread regarding race lines:

Just as there are different racing lines around a circuit that suit different driving styles.

And in that thread I replied to this essentially saying that's not really correct. That while the ideal line may change depending on the car, it does not change for the driver. In other words, Driver A and Driver B are driving the same, equitably...

Did a search and didn't really find anything more recent, mostly older posts with missing images of dyno sheets.
My catless downpipe abruptly necks down at the end from 3" to 2.5", will this have any noticeable restriction on power/response with a Dom1.5 10cm?
I'm assuming it won't because it's far down the exhaust path and it will be about the same as running a full 3" catless with a stock catback which people generally say does not affect power. The car will be on e85 with full bolt ons...

OK this is probably a stupid newb question but I tried searching and I can't find the answer anywhere.
Anyways, when I put it in sport sharp mode I notice it will automatically go back to I mode after awhile and if not it will definitely go back to S mode after shutting off the engine. It seems to run fine while in S# mode so I'm not sure if it a safe guard for something that's wrong with the engine.
Thanks for any help!
Best,

With SubieFest approaching in various places across the Nation, we have an opportunity to partake in an all-Subaru autocross. Yay
SubieFest breaks up the classes into different categories, they are: RWD Stock, RWD Modified, Turbo Stock, Turbo Modified, and Non-Turbo AWD.
In order to qualify for the two Stock classes, they have this verbiage: "stock or lightly modded." They go on to specify: 200+ treadwear tires, VF series turbos (not applicable to the RWD Stock obviously ), full...
