2011 impreza sedan I have 6 1/2" speakers, is it possible to get a bracket that will connect them into 6" holes? When I look at crutchfield or sonics, they say my car is 6 1/2" speakers. But I have them in my hand and I measured them and they are 6", and my 6 1/2" speakers are too large for the default mounting plate. I suppose I could jury rig some plywood, if it came down to that. But I thought maybe someone here has a better idea ..read more

Fitting front fogs to a JDM Bugeye

I want to fit front fogs to a JDM Bugeye, I’ve bought the switch, and what I think are the correct lamps and relay. Just want to check a few things because I’ve read a suggestion the JDM’s are maybe different to the UK cars :wonder: 1) Relay needs to go into the fuse box by the drivers knee, 4th relay slot down (currently empty). I know this is the slot for UK cars but there’s been some suggestion the JDM’s are different and the relay might need to go elsewhere? 2) Relay type is 156700-1020? 3) When swapping my headlights I found the connectors were different, the biblical rain stopped me c ..read more

The TLDR version - I have just sold a London property. (Bought in 1999 > lived in it as PPR until 2007 > sold in March 2024) we did major renovations to it in 2002 (& 2015) it was originally used as offices - so pretty rough when we bought it in 2002 - completely new wiring (in 5 amp lighting circuits in all rooms) & central heating system (inc all new pipework and radiators) & loft conversion, new plastering throughout & new floor in 1st floor (and some asbestos removal) - see pics below I have quite a large CGT liability i need to estimate the 2002 renovation costs ..read more

Advice/help needed please for MY96

Just purchased an MY96 with 17" wheels and on dips and bumps the arches are hitting the tyres even on gentle driving. I'm assuming the suspension is probably original and at 28 years old will be knackered so add the 17" wheels it's why the arches and tyres are hitting. I was thinking the worst and that I would need to replace the entire suspenion however I asked my village garage and they said it might just need new springs and to go and do some research. Advice needed please!!! Would just the springs make a big improvement? Do I need much stiffer springs to allow for the 17" wheels and reduc ..read more
