Hi folks
Ok this is the second time we have had this issue and wondered if anyone else has?
When lining up the wheel alloy to place the ALKO wheel lock on using motor movers, we then put the brake on and then release the motor movers
But when we release the movers, the caravan shifts and the allows the wheel to turn slightly, moving the lock section out of alignment
Are we being dafts and there is a simple way of stopping the wheel turning, so we can get the ALKO lock on and fit correctly?
Thanks ..read more

I'm investigating the possibility of taking the caravan up to North Cape, Norway next summer - the Caravan Club has a good selection of associate sites in France, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany but seems completely devoid of them in Norway and Sweden - does anyone have site suggestions for those two, preferably smaller sites.
We'd be keen to explore nature reserves and national parks rather than cities so any recommendations would be much appreciated ..read more

Am I looking for a unicorn? We have a maximum budget of £4000 so we’re looking at the cheaper end of things, not sure how many people here are using those sorts of caravans? Probably in the region of about 2005 to 2008 from what I’ve been seeing for sale.
I’m trying to find a model which has:
• An end bedroom with a double bed, which can be partitioned off. Ideally not a fixed bed because they’re generally smaller than the ones which are a dinette area which can be converted, same as at the front of the van
• A separate proper shower cubicle (ideally not behind the end bedroom partition)
• An ..read more

Hi all, new member here!
I have recently purchased a 2006 Hobby 650 WFU, and i think I need a new water pump (which I have purchased).
I have tried to pull water via my taps and shower, but there is no noise whatsoever coming from the pump.
I had a look on other forums, and someone suggested checking the fuse box etc, which I think is in the 2nd pic?
But how do I know which wire/fuse is for the pump?
I am also trying to establish how the TV works in this caravan, as it has no aerial/antenna that I can see?
I have an accessory socket on the outside, 2 loose wires in the closet (pics 4-5) an ..read more

Have fitted a milenco wraith wheel lock to van. I removed 1 wheel stud and replaced it with milenco wheelbolt receiver, as per instructions, put on lock and all is fine.
Question is do i leave the wheelbolt receiver in place when towing or do i put original wheel stud back on?
Thanks In Advance ..read more

Am I missing something? Our Elegance has an onboard water tank but it needs to be filled via an Aquaroll or similar. The only reason I can think of an onboard tank is if you’re off grid, but the tank’s only 40 ltrs.
Or do you fill it anyway then use the outboard source so you can have a longer shower? (Pointless seeing as the hot water tank’s only about 8/10ltrs)
Please enlighten me ..read more

About to spend a week or so in hospital I already knew that because of medication I would be taking I would not be sleeping at nights.
So I needed something to pass the time and decided to plan the installation of a LiFeP04 battery in the caravan, importantly it had to be readily removed and the caravan easily reinstated to factory specification; I can now disconnect just 4 wires and connect them to the original battery, remove all installed Lifepo4 related equipment and all will be back to OEM issue.
The new battery was a little too large for the existing battery box so I placed it in the c ..read more

Why does it always happen when you are away?.
The onboard pump , new last year, took ages to turn off. Normal is 5/ 10 seconds. Cold water pressure took ages to pressure up. Must be the three O rings on the Whalemaster caravan housing. Two at the front , one behind the face plate. Normally the official Whale rings are circa £5. No use using ones from Aldi box of 500. Here in Northumberland had a 35 mile drive south to North East Caravans Ltd Ashington. Loads of spares but not what I wanted . They had about 20 of the old micro switches but not the whale O ring kit. So I bought a whole new unit ..read more

I still have no 12v supply to 3 way fridge (Dometic RM7291L , Manually Selector for GAS/240v/12v).
I posted an earlier thread re this but got nowhere, so I will start again.
* Voltage to car fridge 12S is 13.8v (car running).
*Basic 5 pin relay where cables enter the caravan seemed to be working (was clicking) but I replaced anyway.
*When first switching fridge power source to 12v, Green 12v selected indicator light comes on but after 4 seconds starts flashing in time to the relay.
*As some suggested, I raised the revs on the car, but it made no difference, light still flashing (although ligh ..read more
