Paint

Happy Sunday everyone! I bought a can of 'mistake' paint yesterday for ten bucks. Yay...and I like the color though it did not matter to me what it was as I just want to paint the wall by Sam. Paint is so expensive! Anyway, how bad are the fumes for him? I am in a small place and I am guessing, like much else, this is an issue. OKay he just came out so I will chime back in shortly. Has anyone tried this sand before? I tried buying quikrete play sand but it wasn't available in my area and the shipping cost was VERY high It had the same amount of play sand but just a different brand. I'm planning to use it as a substrate. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Sakrete-50-lb-Play-Sand-Sand/3055675 ..read more

This is just an interesting piece of shed skin. Johnny has dropped his tail as a baby and it has regrown. When the regrown part sheds, there is usually some more effort required to shed the very tip. But in the end I always manage to do it and it comes off as a little cap. (I will add better quality photos from the camera later in the day.) If your iguana has similar issues, be sure to check the tip of... Read more ..read more

I am building a new enclosure for Matilda, my female Red Saharan Uromastyx. The enclosure is 48 x 24 x 21. I have a 4 x 16 inch air vent on the cool side near the bottom and the same size vent near the top on the hot side. The size of the actual vented space is 3 x 14. In addition to these vents is a small gap between the sliding plexiglass doors. I have four pieces of 8 x 12 inch #20 mesh. My question is, do I need to use a piece of that mesh for additional ventilation on the top, or do I... Read more ..read more
