Hi A while ago I bought a Zotac ZBOX-AD06-GR SFF PC. The other week I decided to get it going. Added 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 SODIMMs and a 7200rpm 2.5in HDD. All good. I installed Win11 as a test. It runs Win11 ooookkkaaayyy but you can tell it's struggling. Now I would like to install another OS (probably Linux). BUT I can't get the PC to recognize my installation USB. I hit F8 to select a boot device and it prompts me for a password. Similarly, I can't get into the BIOS as it's password protected! I have no idea what the password is. This is a new PC straight out of the box. I tried removing t ..read more

One off Gigabits motherboard driver list that was last updated in 2021? or is it best to grab Ethernet Driver from Realtek.com and install that one? Asking since don't wanna install a driver and mess something up on my fairly clean Windows 11 Pro install still, but i typically try to update my ethernet driver usually every 6 months, but seems Gigabyte site isn't update much, and not sure on Realtek.com ones if wise to use those or not ..read more

Losing display during gaming (sometimes), maybe a PSU issue?

Hey all! So, as the title leads, I'm having issues where, sometimes, when I play, I lose display, but can still hear audio and my PC is still running and all. To get display signal I have to restart my PC (either quick restart or hard restart). After doing some searching, I found that it could be the voltages. I monitored during full load, and found that my 8-pin connector voltages specifically are rather low. 8-pin #1 is around 11.8 avg during full load, and 8-pin #2 is about 11.7-11.6 V. The other voltages, like PCIE voltage hover around ~12V. However, during idle load or light load, both ..read more

Velka 7 Build Help

Budget: $1500 (not hard budget) I've got a laptop that I just bought, but I'm getting a little more into gaming again and found that my laptop doesn't quite meet my needs. I could get a eGPU, but since the main cost of a new system is the GPU, I'm thinking of just doing a SFF build and selling the laptop. Since I'm always traveling (usually not in the same place more than 2 weeks), I'm looking at the Velka 7. The most intense thing I'll use it for gaming wise would be Cities Skylines 2. All else will be lots of work (CPU and RAM heavy). For a Velka 7 build, I'm thinking GPU: Zotac Twin Edge ..read more
