Me and my wife met in December 2016 and have been married since the 2019.
I never had doubts in her but Honesty and Trust were broken by my wife recently when she lied to me about her past, leaving me in a difficult situation of distrust, questionings and pain.
The issue is not what she did (which was having multiple sexual partners very shortly before she met me.) The problem are the lies.
She always said to me that before me and for 3 years, she didn’t have any relationship with...

Background Pretty and seemingly happy wife for 30 years. Worked in health care for 30 years, good reviews, mother of 3, children loved her, seemingly happy marriage, various trips, I got along with her family she with mine. When children left, we decided to move to a more active area near the beach, and sold during Covid. Had some difficulty finding a house, got one reasonably good, and she could not decide yes or no, sound into a disabling depression, was hospitalized. My parents died...

Someone posted this and I want to respond, My lawyer said in her eyes I'm just an "Income producing piece of sh*t"...and I think he's right (financial question). Some observations-
1. Telling you what you want to hear is not wisdom. So this is a guy's lawyer saying this. The wife's lawyer is probably saying, as a woman, you're constantly putting everyone else before you, children, family, until the separation even your ex. You need to start putting yourself first, and addressing...

So with the support of a therapist my husband and I were seeing, she is recommending separation. I am fully supportive of this as there is emotional and verbal abuse occurring in our relationship and my husband and I have come up with a plan. The plan is temporary but he is going to move back in with his parents - 12 hours away and I am going to keep our son so there's not too much change on his part. Unfortunately, with H not close by I have no physical support from him, however, I do...

I’ve been separated and going through a divorce. I found what I thought was my soulmate. I know that sounds ridiculous but in my 50 years I never connected in such a way with anyone before. Here’s the issue. He was also separated going through a divorce and his process went much quicker. Our timing was undoubtedly off. I told him to date while I was finishing my divorce as I didn’t want to be public with our relationship until everything was finalized. Fast forward, he ends up dating a...

Hi again!
Just wondering about folks opinions here...
I've been separated now for 9 months and have spent my focus on healing myself and supporting the healing of my kids as well. I've worked hard and am finally feeling like I'm reconnected to who I am - I'm also curious about moving forward and creating healthy connections with others. In looking for positive friendships and potential dating partners, I've found a connection with someone and am at the early stages of getting to know...

Hello,
I am 40, my soon to be ex is 33. We have 2 boys. Oldest is almost 3 and youngest is 9 months. We are doing collaborative divorce initiated by her and think will be finalized in next few months. Below is what we came to after 5 hours of mediations. I love my children and always been very involved including doing dinners and nighttime routines everyday. Not sure how this schedule will impact my bond. Any thoughts or suggestions before I accept?

We've been married for 12 years and together for 14 years. He met me out of the country through family in 2009. We went long-distance for 2 years and married when he came to the US in 2011. We lived with my family for 7 years until he joined the Army in 2017 and moved on post. We went long-distance again as I finished grad school. He deployed, and I visited the post often. We have no children, but we started trying in 2020 with no luck. He retired in 2021 and was diagnosed with PTSD. This...

I am grieving. It is hard to get out of bed. I have two teenage sons that are looking to me for safety. For stability. And I am there for them as much as I can be. Their mother moved out three months ago, and I am shellshocked. I need support from friends. But mostly I need support from people that have gone through this as well. Or are going through it now. I was married for 20 years to who I thought was the love of my life ..read more
