I posted on this board on May 30th when my 8 yo male lab died that night after just a few hrs of lethargy. He had no other sympthoms other than vomiting twice before we brought him in to emergency vet where an xray showed a bleeding tumor . He was put to sleep after the vet told us he would not survive through the night. We were devastated and still are so grief stricken., That weekend before he was playing ball and having a great time outdoors. THat morning he was playful and ate and... Hi everyone My dog is a 2-month-old male Labrador puppy. I am currently using Royal Canin Medium Puppy, but from what I've seen online, Maxi Puppy is recommended for bone development support. Do you think there's any harm in continuing with Medium Puppy, or should I switch? Also, how much Medium Puppy should I give daily? I'm trying to give 290 grams, divided into 4 meals a day. tanks for helps ..read more

I have had Labs for nearly 40 years now. Jake, Rocky, Max and now Sam. 2 black and 2 yellow. Current pup Sam just turned 18 mo. and is at 93 lbs. which should be about it for him. He is heavy boned, big barreled and very athletic. We are on a small farm with horses and plenty of room to roam and swim. Our other dog is an Aussiedoodle and is a great "brother" and playmate to Sammy. Happy to be part of this resource. Here is Sam. dmiller ..read more

Sterling is a 14 months old silver lab. The last couple of days he is not eating his food (especially morning feeding) and just lays by the bowl. I pointed at his bowl and said "eat your breakfast" and he barked and bit at my hand. This has happened twice. He has never been aggressive before and has always inhaled his food. I am so upset and don't know what is going on with him ..read more

I even find myself occasionally pondering the intelligence of our four-legged pals. So, I wanted to ask if anyone has explored resources like IQ tests or mental stimulation for Labs ..read more

My daughter goes to a small private school. We rely on volunteers for all the coaching positions. Last winter I coached girls basketball. My daughter made the C volleyball team. No coach. They were not going to be able to have a team without a coach. The girls who were on the basketball team all wanted me to coach and the athletic director asked me to coach and I caved. I wanted them to have the opportunity to play. Are any of you volleyball coaches? Do you have any suggestions for drills... Anybody know anything about girls volleyball ..read more
