Would you say this pup has potential to be a Dudley fox red? Paws are black on pads, brown nose but no liner/pigment around eye. I would have thought he would have dark pigment around the eye if he was going to get it by now...this is due to be a friends pup and I thought this may mean a pink nose and light around the eyes but interested if anyone has experience of the black coming in later around the eyes....thanks. Pupper is around 7 weeks old

Morning all
Bailey is now 14 months old but now seems to be in the habit of peeing when he is allowed in a shop or the local pub etc. He never wees at home but seems to have to mark his territory in the shops that are kind enough to let dogs onto the premises. Embarrased yesterday when the manager of a shop shouted across the shop at me to stop my dog or leave. tbh i hadnt noticed as was engrossed in purchasing. Bailey had been to the loo prior to going in so my assumption was he would be...

Hello, this is my first post on here so please forgive me if this type of thing has been asked before.
I have a beautiful 8 year old chocolate lab called Bailey.
He is fantastic in all ways except for 1 thing he eats dog poo
He has done this since he was a pup and we managed to stop him eating his own except for the odd occasion but the biggest problem is that when we go out for walks he eats other dog poo which is absolutely disgusting and extremely embarrassing as well.
We have...

We’ve had our stairgate up since Milo was a puppy. He’s 14 months now. He has all of downstairs at night. We’d like to give him upstairs too but with elbow dysplasia in both forelimbs, I’m wondering if the regular climbs up and down the stairs will aggravate it.
I’m curious to know, in my situation, what you’d all do? Keep him downstairs indefinitely or let him use the stairs as much as he likes.
P.s. Sorry for all the questions this weekend ..read more

Hi my 8 month old lab, Hector, has been sick on and off over the past week and a bit. Whenever he drinks water (not too much) it brings up his entire stomach contents. We have attempted to control his water in take as suggested by the vet, but it seems it keeps on having bad reaction with him and results in him being sick again. We’ve seen the vets 3 times now and he has had an X Ray to make sure no obvious blockage in his stomach or intestines, which seems to be ok. Even after putting him...

We’re hitting -3 where I am. You hear so much about when it’s too hot - how do you all know when its too cold to walk/work/go out with your lab?

be that contact in the street, by email or telephone.... this will save so much heartache later when the answer is negative to any of them but you are staring at a bunch of cute pups which you REALLY want to buy. So many times we hear people saying they KNOW they shouldn't be buying, but they got there, and the pups looked basically healthy, and the breeder seemed nice....and so.... they went for it knowing they should be walking away...
Lets lay out the first contact BASIC Questions so...

Hello Labrador Owners!
I hope this message finds you and your furry friends in good spirits. I'm excited to share that we'll be welcoming our 8-week-old Labrador puppy, Muffin, into our home this Sunday. As we eagerly anticipate his arrival, I've been pondering over a concern and would greatly appreciate your insights and advice.
Living in Northern Ireland, the recent nighttime temperatures have been hovering around 1-2 degrees Celsius. We've prepared a cozy spot for Muffin in the kitchen...

Hello.
I wonder if anyone still has a lab sired by Rocheby State Occasion who was bought from a breeder in North Wales. I’ve lost the pedigree unfortunately.
My beautiful old boy from this litter is now 12 and I’d love to see any siblings if possible. Been searching for years !
it’s only curiosity. Date of birth 4/11/2011.
