During your naturalization interview, a USCIS officer will ask you questions about your application and background. Unless you qualify for an exemption, you will also have to take a naturalization test which is made up of two components, an English test, and a civics test.

Writing Vocabulary for the Naturalization Test Each writing test administered to an applicant will contain no more than three (3) sentences. An applicant must write one (1) out of three (3) sentences correctly in order to demonstrate an ability to write in English. To help an applicant prepare, these word strips and copy sheets contain all the words found in the English writing portion of the naturalization test. The 100 civics (history and government) questions and answers for the naturalization test are listed below.
The civics test is an oral test and the USCIS Officer will ask the applicant up to 10 of the 100 civics questions. An applicant must answer 6 out of 10 questions correctly to pass the civics portion of the naturalization test.
