Let me apologize in advance for another tire thread. I know folks here like the 705's but what's the experience with road only tires? My OEM rear is worn out ('21 650 LT) and I'm slowly coming to the realization that my off-road days are limited. 99% of my riding is on paved roads so I'm interested in a reasonably priced set with decent ride characteristics. Any advice or thoughts appreciated ..read more

Been wanting to do this for about 55 years. Unfortunately, it will be by SUV, but at least I am going. Any suggestions on making it easier? I'm planning the route now which is open. No real timeline. Trip will be starting in a month or two. I will be bringing tools, water, gas, tire repair and spare, etc. I will camp or stay in a motel (or whatever).
Will be leaving Baltimore and going to Anchorage. Thanks ..read more

Hello,
Just started ridding and was gifted a 2014 KLE
650. I thought joining a forum would help me to learn more about my new gift and trouble shoot any current and future issues. Hope to grow from a novice to someone that can learn how to trouble shoot and repair my new ride and also be able to pay it forward. I will post pictures of her hopefully in the near future, But she is in a few pieces while I trouble shoot my turn signals ..read more

Hello All, just a quick intro...I'm a big fan of Kawasaki's for sure. I've been an owner of a KLR650, Versys 650, and a Vaquero. But now I'm looking for a specific Versys, and hopefully you all can help. I'll post in the "wanted" section, but for now, here's a snapshot of what I'm now looking for. I am looking for a White/Black 2019 Versys 1000 SE LT, with all the bells and whistles. Perfer low mileage, one owner. Most important, I'm really looking for one in California to avoid shipping and...

Not for my bike, but for my rotator cuff repair surgery. Ready to start full exercise and lift all restrictions. Took a nice ride around this morning with a fuel stop for the bike as it has been sitting for most of 6 months. and for me. Newest McDonalds in the area, looks like they doing away with counter person job. Oh, and recently found the Steak, Egg, and Cheese bagel was back on the menu. Still tasty! No pics of bagel, sorry.

I just bought a 2015 650 ABS, I have owned over 75 bikes but never one of these.
It has 15K on the clock and so far it's fun but too tall for my liking even though I'm 6'1" and can flat foot it there is not a lot of room for error such as sloping terrain...

Because of arthritic hands, I have always been on the lookout for ways of making the clutch lever pull easier. In the past, I have changed the master clutch cylinder size on my hydraulic clutches with good results.
For my 2015 Versys 650 there is a possibility of using a hydraulic clutch mod system, but I decided to keep the cable operated clutch system.
Stunt riders often use the RSC easy pull stunt clutch lever...

Finally got around to installing my auto clutch. At the time of installing it I had been up for 26 hours since my brain wouldn't let me sleep so I decided now is a good time lol.
First step: Take the new clutch pack from rekluse and soak it in a bag with oil for 5 minutes. Drain your coolant, then you can either decide to lay the bike down on its left side Or you can completely drain the oil out to take out the bolts.
Second step: If you a rear break pedal is in the way, you...
