The only reason you have a bulge in the bottom of your pool is because sides are squeezing it. The cause is soil liquefaction a consequence of poor build quality and management of drainage outside your pool. You will need expert report to take your builder on. Hi Ardy, Ardy "don’t know what to do the pool company don’t want anything to do with us" That's a bit rough as your pool obviously should not have the bulge at all - Are you able to upload photos at all? Statistics: Posted by MarkusjOZ — Sat Mar 23, 2024 7:19 am ..read more

MarkusjOZ Hi Ardy, that's a concern It can be one of many things, unfortunately.. First off, was the shell of the pool ok when it originally arrived? i.e. No structural problem with the pool itself? Other than the obvious, has there been any ground movement? I'm assuming it's in ground, so in that case, was the pool backfilled correctly? If not, this can lead to uneven pressure. Is there any high pressure from the surrounding soil or groundwater? [size=100]Finally, what about temperature, e.g was the pool left in direct sunlight with no water for an extended period of time? Long shot I ..read more

We had our pool installed about 8 months ago and first time walking along the bottom noticed a bulge 40mm higher than the sides and covering half the pool length so we contacted the pool builder and they sent out someone to look at it he got in the pool with a spirit level and got out and said it was our problem there must be a Brocken water pipe or an overflowing soak well and we would have to get someone to look at it as there are no broken water pipes or soak wells in the area we don’t know what to do the pool company don’t want anything to do with us. Can anyone give some advise on how to ..read more

Hi ? Can you please help me. We want to instal Garonne limestone pavers around a pool. We have been told to pre seal them with the dip method. My question is, is this necessary if our pool is a magnesium pool? Can we get away with just a top sealer after instal? Thankyou Missed this and note sure how, sorry. The important thing I must ask first and foremost that has been missed in this thread is is the pool a salt water pool and what type of material are you sealing. If the product is a porous paver you must consider consolidating the stone to avoid salt attack. This help with the strength ..read more

I assume you have unground pool If you have a bulge in the pool sides or floor it is because the hydrostatic pressure on the outside of your pool is higher than inside the pool. The backfilling around your pool has liquefied. Specific gravity of water is 1(inside pool), specific gravity of wet(liquefied soil) is 2.5 It is imperative that water is not allowed to accumulate between pool shell and the excavation sides to prevent soil liquefaction. There should be a 90mm stormwater pipe installed vertically and going all the way to the bottom of the pool, for observation and water pumping. Statist ..read more
