Resurrection of a 2005 990: advice needed.

On a whim the other week, I bought myself an unloved 2005 SD off Facebook marketplace. It was local and cheap, so I took the plunge! It turns out at some stage during its existence (and 14 previous owners) it was loved and cared for! Having stripped it back and cleaned years of caked on dirt and grime off, I am now able to see the proverbial woods! The loom had been chopped about but apart from a non working Datatool alarm it’s back to how it should be now. I want to cut the alarm out, but... Evening all, Just thought I'd post a thread to say hi. I had been considering it for ages but finally picked up a nice clean Gen 1 Superduke GT with a load of touring gear October last year. I was historically a sportsbike rider but wanted something still fun but with a bit of all day comfort to do longer trips on. The GT has been absolutely perfect so. Havent riden it that hard in the corners yet given weather and road conditions but its so far so good. I did a weekend touring... New Superduke GT ..read more

Workshop manual (2016 excf)

Hi gents, what workshop manual do you use to fettle your steed, I have found a Haynes manual but only covers 00-07. Is it worth buying one from KTM or does any other companies make one? I have done a lot just off YouTube videos but it's a pain pausing and rewinding because my pea brain didn't take it in. Be nice to have a good old-fashioned paper manual with pages you can turn, no pausing needed. ? Regards Jason ..read more

Years ago I got measured up for 2 piece Scott leathers. Suffice to say they 'shrunk' years ago and I'm keen to get a new 2 piece as I prefer level of protection leathers offer over textiles. All im looking is plain black leathers made to measure, I'm not looking to be a power ranger... Anyone got any experience recently of such a service ..read more
