Having some problems starting my 2022 Ktm 350xcf after long races. It’ll start right up before any of my races (we do dead engine starts and I’m right off the line as soon as the flag drops) but after racing 40 or so miles and coming in to pit the bike takes minutes of holding the starter to turn over again. The most recent race I did I came in to the pits at the end of the race, shut the bike off, and about 20 minutes later came back and it would not start at ALL. Ok guys so I may have a small (or very big) problem. So a couple of days ago I bought a gen 3 2020 model 1290 Super Duke R. So everything seemed fine the odometer was marked at 10k kilometers and everything functions like it should. A couple of days passes and I am screwing around withing the settings and I see something odd. Trip 1 is capped at 9999km. I looked it up nothing special about it. And then i saw Trip 2. Buddy at a shop called to see if i wanted to salvage this basket case from his shop. Abandoned by the customer unwilling to pay for quoted repairs, after a full teardown and inspection. This bike was THRASHED! Obvious decades of hard riding with no maintenance and put away dirty. Ive never EVER had to use a razor to scrape literal pounds of oily dirt crust off a machine...it was gnarly!!! It was a freebie, tho....so I couldn't say no. Hi all, I am relatively new to the bike world and this is my first spring with a bike. I prepped my bike for the winter with a fuel stabilizer and the battery was on a tender all winter(stored in garage). Went to start this spring but with no luck. It will turn over but wont run. I changed the battery, checked air filter, also checked outside spark plug. everything looked okay as far as I can tell. (that's not saying much).
