Found this sight looking for answears. Looking around there is a lot of knowledge here. A quick history. Got the bike in the spring of 09'. Hello everyone, I bought my motorcycle a few months ago probably in June 2023 and it has never truly idled properly. I stalls on me quite frequently. I don’t ride it a lot for this reason, but I am not sure how to fix it and make it idle smoothly. I recently pulled out the carburetor and cleaned the jets, I added new spark plugs cause those went bad as well and I got a new battery installed. I just recently started riding this bike and its got maybe 11,00 miles on it. Its a 2009! Anyway, I mistakenly put 87 octane fuel in it and it now runs badly off idle. Hey guys. This is concerning my 2005 Virago 250. Whenever I start it when it is really cold (45-50*) and the bike has sat for a few days, I hear a squealing noise. The bike still starts and everything else is fine but the noise just sends chills down my spine. It is specifically happening as I am RELEASING the starter button, after it has cranked a few times.
