The other day I cleaned out my carbs/adjusted the floats, I didn't mess with any of the settings on it however after putting them back on and running it, there's no longer a flooding issue but it's over speeding. I lowered the idle and it does nothing, I took the gas tank off to see if the cable was catching but it's not, anyone know what it could be ..read more

I ran into a bit of a problem. I want to drop Aprilia RS125 forks. I dry fitted them, bearings fit and the wheel will. i got the bearings and will be machining spacers for it. My fiancés dad gave me this bike but I don’t know the make and model exactly. I’m assuming it’s a 1982 xs400 maxim but that’s just a guess based on research. VIN is only 9 digits on the side of the frame starting with 12R. I’m new to the motorcycle community so I appreciate any and all feedback ..read more

Bike was fine until I changed the oil now it's cranks no problem but no start. Spark is mint, brand new plugs also, just checked them to make sure they aren't lemons, back pressure seems right, compression blows my thumb off with me applying good force so I'm guessing about 115-120psi, oil I used is motomaster 4 cycle sae 20w50, I always use the same stuff, coils are operating as intended, battery is mint, I take it inside after every ride, made it easy to do so, solenoid is a brand new OEM...
