I need to remove and clean my carbs, and want to replace the bowl gaskets, float needle o-ring, needle valve o-ring, and jet holder o-ring at a minimum. Ordering OEM parts is expensive, but there are several kits available. I tried an eBay kit a few years ago and had to return it since the float needles were the wrong length.
Anyone have any experience with the All Balls kit? There's a Dale Walker holeshot carb kit too that looks similar but it's $80 more ..read more

I have been looking for a couple of weeks now and can't find anything to make SIGNIFICANT improvements in the low end torque of the Gen II engine. Sure I can find ECUs, FCEs, Air Box mods, Ignition Modules and all manner of exhaust but the increase in low end torque is minimal. I was hoping to find torquer cams or a big bore kit or, better yet, a stroker kit. But I found nothing. I can understand that a big bore or stroker kit just will not fit withing the confines of the FZ1 block, but...

Does anyone know of some options other than the Puig windscreen for a 2009 FZ1-N? I need something taller for a long trip I’m planning on doing in August, but I’m struggling to find anything that might work well. Any help is appreciated ..read more

Just took my first ride with the new Healtech Quikshifter Easy HealTech Electronics Ltd. ? Smart Tech for your Ride ? QuickShifter easy (new). It's unique in that setup and adjustments are done via Bluetooth connection with an Android phone or tablet. There are a full range of adjustments and they are very quick and simple to make using the Android App available free from the Google Play store. Most all the defaults turned out to be right on the money so tweaking was very simple...

I posted by accident in General Discussion and couldn't delete it. So I reposted here.
I came to my 05 FZ1 after my 04 Z1K was totaled last year. I am in the process of a custom build and noticed that the risers are mounted in very soft rubber bushings. This makes the bars feel spongy and the bike not as snappy to steering inputs. Does anyone know if there is a set of solid riser bushings that can be put in their place to solve this issue for the Gen 1's? Thank you in advance for any advice...

So I did a search on the Famous RavenRider's front fork mod for $14.95 and can not find any info on it.. I did this on my previous GEN1 FZ1's . Actually I put progressive springs in it instead of cutting the stock spring ,but I can't remember the oil level or oil weight . Any one know if it's 5wt or 7.5wt oil and the amount of oil or the oil level to forks? Thanks ..read more

Ok so ive been seeing some posts on various forums about if you lean too much and you rub your sliders on the ground, or the footpegs it can "Suck you in" and you can crash.
Can someone please explain what that exactly means, as I dont understand how that makes you crash?
Granted I never lean nearly to that extent, I just dont understand it. Sorry in advance for the noobish question.
Thanks ..read more
