First gripe, the name. As my first bike, a long time ago was/is a T20 Tiger Cub this bike is known by me and my friends as a Triumph T40 Super Cub. Traded my '14 Bonneville T100, a bike that was intened to be the last motorcyce I would own (my exit level bike). Taken me 10 years to realise I didn't really enjoy riding it. T40 arrived about 2 weeks back and I decided a 700-800km round trip was in order and bring it up to the first service. Fitted it with flyscreen, saddle bag frames, a... I'm having trouble finding anyone who has increased the airflow of the Tiger sport. I'm considering opening the rubber bung on the right hand side and perhaps peeling back the main trumpeted intake to create the sound I'm after. Anyone done either of these things already? And to what result? Cheers ..read more

Oil leak in 2010 T100

Hi. I bought this bike last year, and it had an oil leak around the engine. I thought this was probably coming from the valve cover, and replaced the gasket and the rubber/metal washers. The leak was improved and the valve cover is perfectly dry but now it’s quite clearly coming from the cylinder head gasket. Not from oil line banjo. My question; is There a possibility that I can fix the leak simply by retorquing the head bolts? Should I take off the cylinder head and replace the gasket... Oil leak in 2010 T100 ..read more

Hello friends, forgive me if this is the wrong spot but advices needed! first time poster. 3 questions if i may..Any/all answers greatly appreciated! Q1/ Seeing as so much of the maintenance is mileage OR time related, how much import should one give to the 'time' side of things. Anything else needed on a 2014 T100 with 3600miles other than new tires/plugs/oil/filters? Q2/ Am i imagining this? I love the sound of my NH Togas - roaring is def better than purring, but my question is without... 2014 T100 few newb questions ..read more

Lost his life thirty years ago today at the San Marino GP- at Imola, an icon for the F1 fans all over the globe. The Imola circuit is next up on the F1 calendar after the Miami Grand Prix and will inevitably be the scene of more tributes to the late Brazilian. Four-time world champion Vettel, who owns Senna's 1993 McLaren MP4/8, has announced he will take the car out for a demo on race day in Imola as a tribute to one of his... Ayrton Senna ..read more

At the risk of opening a can of worms, here goes: In the area we mostly ride (country, hilly, curvy roads) there are signs posted on several roads saying "share the road", referring to bicycles. A surprising number of these roads have bicycle lanes. It seems every weekend we get more and more bicycle traffic. Not onesies or twos but large groups. On the bike I always give them a lot of room. We single file our group to go around them. I don't begrudge them their right to be there. What I do... Share the road ..read more

God day all! slowly getting my engine together i got stuck on some issues on the clutch side. PO swapped the clutch center 57-4437 to a aftermarked, so i got suspicious. Is this play normal ? 0,4mm / 0,0016" play between the clutchhub and the thrustwasher/cluchbasket? The clutchhub is pressed fully home, and the thurstwasher has original thickness i belive( around 0,052-53"). Having a look from the other side of the clutch centre, the splines and the... clutchhub thrustwasher play ..read more
