Recently purchased a 2009 Escalade Hybrid. I already knew it had problems, but I figured I would take my chances. From the start I knew it had the messages on the dash to service Power Steering Stability System Traction Control 4x4 Wheel Right before I purchased, I took it to Auto Zone and had them hook it up. Hi everyone, New to the hybrid community. I am considering buying an 2008 Tahoe with 181000 miles on it. It seems to be priced low and the guy is honest in saying in needs the hybrid battery replaced. However he tells me, "it runs just fine without the battery" Do these Tahoes run fully on the the gas engine when the battery is toast? or does it NEED the hybrid battery? its something I want to see function down the road but know its a spendy operation. Hello! A few weeks ago the car was given a good wash, although only a little water got into the engine compartment from the closed hood. Afterward it wouldn't crank. The lights are on in the console, but there's only a single click when I try to start it. I tried to jump it, but no change. I also put on another ground cable just in case, still but nothing.
