Hi everyone, I was riding my bike home and had some weird behavior: the idle increased by about 1,000 rpms and my bike shut off multiple times after riding about a hundred feet. I haven't ridden it in a few months so not sure if this is a factor at all. During this time, an error message occurred on the dash indicating an engine error. Hello everyone, I bought a 2015 899 from Copart. The bike listed as Flood damage. I got it home and did and oil change. I place fuel in place of oil and let it sit over night to clean all that gunk out. Put fresh oil and filter. Changed all fuses and cleaned fuse boxes. The fuel in the tank looked fine. But I also added 1oz of Sea foam in there just for safe measures. I also sprayed PB Blaster in both cylinder and left it over night. I dried fired the bike and no water came out. I cleaned... I have 2 questions I am hoping someone could help me with. I just got on my 2014 899 Panigale a couple days ago after not having ridden it in about 2 1/2 or 3 months (either rain or blistering cold each time I was going to go out). Has anyone had luck fixing gear position sensor issues using the calibration procedure? My bike is a 2014 and at about 18,000 miles the gear indicator would struggle to show N on the dash. Usually it would show N for a split second before changing back to 1. So, at the time I replaced the GPS sensor and all was good. Now my bike has 23,000 on it and the same problem is happening again. So long story short, I busted up the front end of my 2014 899. Rim is bent, split the triple tree, tire impacted the oil cooler or radiator, maybe both of them actually and then body and windshield damage etc. I'm just wondering if any of y'all have crashed or known a crash where the front end of your bike needed to be replaced and then how much it costed. I have searched and confirmed that the 1199 will fit but not sure on the 1299. It was a pain in the a__ to change out the clutch plates so I am looking for an easier option.
